 Hello!

Today we started reading, and I finished the book, I simply love this novel.

The inspiration of Oscar Wilde to write this novel is very interesting and I would like to share that with you:

In 1882, Oscar Wilde met Frances Richards in Ottawa, where he visited her studios. In 1887, Richards moved to London where she renewed her acquaintance with Wilde and painted his portrait. Wilde described that incident as being the inspiration for the novel:

In December 1887, I gave a sitting to a Canadian artist who was staying with some friends of hers and mine in South Kensington. When the sitting was over, and I had looked at the portrait, I said in jest, 'What a tragic thing it is. This portrait will never grow older, and I shall. If it was only the other way!' The moment I had said this it occurred to me what a capital plot the idea would make for a story. The result is 'Dorian Gray’

Without a doubt, for a writer, inspiration comes at the least expected moment.

Another story written by Oscar Wilde is The Canterville Ghost, I love this tale and I like to read it in English.

Perhaps I can find books by this writer in English, that excites me a lot.

Next to reading time, we had ten minutes to practice in the channel groups the conversations that we worked on yesterday for a later presentation in the general channel.

I don't know why today I feel very nervous, maybe because Nahs can't participate in the classes or because yesterday I didn't know how to make the presentation for today with the Future Plans theme.

Yesterday and today I had a block in my creativity, which sometimes happened to me.

Now we started preparing for the test next Thursday, always in the same groups, working on all the issues we were studying until now.

Jully and I think of some ideas that can help us to use all topics, and talk with Nahs about it.

Tomorrow we will continue working on it.
